"Let's Go Surfing" -The Drums

highkneeshighkneeshighknees
I'm running like a soldier marches.
I look silly.
But that's ok.

Wanna go surfing?

It's not summer, and we don't live by the beach
you say
Stop being silly.
We don't need summer and we don't need a beach
we just need you and we just need me.
You still laugh at me.

Well fine, then.
I roller skate away and and you come sprinting after me.
Of course suburbia can be our playground
our waves, if you wish.

So we surf down the streets
and through piles of leaves,
fasterandfasterand
I love to rollerskate with you.
It's silly how much I do.

  1. Claire, your blog is really awesome! I have never heard of most of these songs or these bands. It's really cool to see the different music that's out there that we don't hear 500 times a day.

  2. I've never heard of that song, but you've definitely inspired me to check it out! It's great that you're an iconoclast and showing music that's not just "Top 40" hits. YAY :)

  3. Claire! This is a really cool blog? I'm not familiar with most American music as you know, but I'll definitely look up the songs here and listen to them?

  5. Cool. It makes you think into it, especially when there is virtually no meaning on the surface.
